Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
We respect your privacy. This page explains what Cue collects, how we use it, and where it lives.
What we collect
- Account info: email, name, avatar (via Google sign-in).
- Audio: streamed in real time to a third-party speech-recognition provider. Not stored on our servers.
- Usage records: each session's start / end timestamps, duration, language pair, and line count — kept on our servers to manage usage.
- Transcripts & recaps: stored locally in your browser and mirrored to our servers so you can reach them across devices and create share links. You can delete them yourself anytime.
- Preferences: interface language and theme — kept in your browser.
Third-party services
- Authentication: sign-in with your Google account.
- Speech recognition & translation: captured audio is streamed in real time to a third-party speech-recognition and translation provider for processing.
- AI summaries: when you enable Cue cards, transcript chunks are sent to a third-party AI provider for summarisation.
- Hosting: the app is deployed and logged on a third-party cloud platform.
- Error monitoring: a third-party error-monitoring service tracks client and server exceptions.
Retention & deletion
Your data is yours. Delete individual sessions from History, or wipe all your transcripts and session history at once with “Delete my data” in the account menu (this clears the server copies too). Usage totals (minutes) are retained so monthly quotas stay accurate.
